He is the author of six highly acclaimed books, including A Very English Scandal (now a BBC/Amazon Prime TV series starring Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw), and The Dig, which has recently been filmed starring Ralph Fiennes, Carey Mulligan and Lily James.
