After completing Master’s’ in Sciences in Finance & Investments and Accounting, Control & Financial Management and a Master of Law in Financial Law, Wouter commenced his career as an investment banker. Following his work in public equities, Wouter worked within the private equity team of a leading mid-market private equity fund, before leaving for his INSEAD MBA. At and after INSEAD, where he graduated with distinction, he founded a number of tech startups.
From 2011 onwards he has represented his family in the family company, becoming the Netherlands’ youngest non-executive of a regulated financial institution. At the same time, he was also put in charge of the family office (originally established in 1987), which he has managed since. More recently Wouter has moved the originally Dutch family office into Singapore and transformed it from a pure single-family office into a ‘single-family office for multiple families’.
As a Singapore-based family office Blauwpark Partners aims to help Asian and European families manage their wealth better. Besides helping families and UHNW, Blauwpark Partners, a CMS-licenced Fund Management company, also offers various funds like private equity and secondaries pools. It leverages the investments by and for the core families and opens these up for other investors, to co- invest with the principals.
