David serves as Canopy Growth's Vice President of US Government and Stakeholder Relations, bringing over 20 years of US federal experience to the Canopy team. In his role, David manages all day-to-day U.S. federal and state engagement for Canopy Growth. Prior to joining Canopy, David served in a variety of campaign and legislative positions for Senator(s) Robert C. Byrd (D-WV), Tom Daschle (D-SD), J. Robert Kerrey (D-NE), and Ben Nelson (D-NE). He previously served as a Vice President of Government Affairs for the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS). David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College and resides with his wife in Washington, DC.
