Patrick directs the firm’s government relations and public advocacy efforts in the Midwest, and is a key member of the firm’s federal government relations team in the nation’s capitol. Him and his team are recognized leaders in the emerging cannabis industry and work with several major national and international multi system operators on a whole host of legal and government relations matters, and their central role in Canopy Growth's planned acquisition of Acreage Holdings cemented the firm's place among the industry heavyweights and earned them Law360's 2019 Cannabis Practice Group of the Year.

Patrick was named as one of the 2018 and 2019's Top Lobbyists by the publication The Hill in their “Hired Guns” category. Prior to his current position, Patrick worked closely with Senator Evan Bayh, with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Obama Administration.
