Bill Gross is a lifelong entrepreneur who has started more than 150 companies in his career, resulting in more than 45 successful IPO’s and mergers and acquisitions. 7 of those companies grew to be more than billion-dollar companies.

Bill created Idealab, modeled after Thomas Edison’s lab, after attending Caltech, in Pasadena, California, 23 years ago. Idealab is the longest-running technology incubator, focused on world-changing technologies including search, ecommerce, robotics, mobile monetization, renewable energy and climate change.

Bill holds more than 30 patents, and is the inventor of novel forms of energy storage, solar concentration, and of paid search, the business model that powers the internet.

Alison Graham

Alison Graham is the Chief Investment Officer of Voltan Capital Management. She has over twenty years' experience in frontier and emerging markets finance. She traded through the 1995 Mexico crisis, the 1997 Asia crisis, the 1998 Russia crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis, giving her a depth of experience in managing assets during turbulent periods.

Alison began her career at Caspian Securities, an investment bank dedicated to emerging markets, as a senior equity analyst for Latin America. She later became the firm’s youngest partner and was part of a two-person team earning Institutional Investor’s first-place ranking for Latin American. In 1998, Alison joined United Financial Group in Moscow. She remained in Russia for seven years, managing assets and advising firms with interests in frontier markets.

She holds a Master's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is fluent in six languages.

Sonia Gokhale

Peter Gleysteen

Mr. Gleysteen’s prior two employers were JPMorgan Chase and CIFC Asset Management. He has specialized in bank loans for over forty years and successfully navigated every economic cycle and market crisis since his career began.

At JPMorgan Chase, and antecedent entities Chemical Bank and Chase Manhattan, Mr. Gleysteen was the lead banker on many of the largest LBO, M&A and Restructuring financings in the 1980s and 1990s, ran global loan syndications as Group Head Global Syndicated Finance, was responsible for the global corporate loan portfolio as Group Head Global Capital Management, and served as Chief Credit Officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. He was integral to the evolution of the bank loan asset class from inception including making the first “B-Loan” in 1989 and conceiving and instituting the “Market Flex” pricing convention in 1997. Mr. Gleysteen joined Chemical Bank in 1975.

Mr. Gleysteen founded CIFC and managed it as CEO from inception in 2005 to 2014. CIFC was sold and he then served as Vice-Chairman and special advisor until 2016.

He began forming AGL Credit Management in 2018 and launched it in 2019.

Mr. Gleysteen has a BA in History from Trinity College and a MBA, Executive Program, from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a board member of Mystic Seaport Museum.

Nancy W. Gleason, PhD

Nancy W. Gleason, PhD is the inaugural Director of the Hilary Ballon Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and an Assistant Professor of Practice in Political Science at New York University Abu Dhabi. Her research focuses on the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s impact on higher education, workforce training, and the future of work. She considers societal impacts of employment disruption, continuous reskilling, and the role of industry in supporting upskilling of adults. Mohamed A. El Erian

Mohamed A. El-Erian has worked on economic and financial issues in both the public and private sectors. Currently, he is the Chief Economic Advisor at Allianz, the corporate parent of PIMCO where he formerly served as chief executive and co-chief investment officer (2007-14), a columnist for Bloomberg View, a contributing editor at the Financial Times, and a member of the UnderArmour and several non-profit boards. He chairs Allianz International Advisory Board and, from December 2012 to January 2017, chaired President Obama’s Global Development Council.

Having served for 15 years as an international civil servant at the IMF in Washington DC, Dr. El-Erian first joined PIMCO in 1999 and was a senior member of PIMCO's portfolio management and investment strategy group. He rejoined the company at the end of 2007 after serving for two years as president and CEO of Harvard Management Company, the entity that manages Harvard’s endowment.

El-Erian has published widely on international economic and finance topics. His 2008 book, When Markets Collide, was a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, won the Financial Times/Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year and was named a book of the year by The Economist and one of the best business books of all time by the Independent (UK). His 2016 book, The Only Game in Town: Central Banks, Instability and Avoiding the Next Collapse, was also a New York Times bestseller.

He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

El-Erian co-chairs the capital campaign for Cambridge University and its colleges. He has served on several boards and committees, including the U.S. Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, the International Center for Research on Women, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the IMF's Committee of Eminent Persons, New America, and the New York Fed’ Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. He also led an initiative to create competitive governance with Six Californias, followed by Three Californias, which was approved for the ballot, but was rejected by the California Supreme Court before the vote. He received the “Toqueville” Award for freedom from the Independent Institute.

Tim Draper received a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University with a major in electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. He has two honorary doctorates from The International University and Trinity College of Dublin. He gave the commencement speech at USC’s Marshall School of Business in 2017.

Christian was previously Head of Solutions at Capital Dynamics leading the firm’s structured secondary activities with assets under management of more than USD 2 billion. He also led the portfolio and risk management activities, advising some of the world’s largest investors on asset allocation, portfolio rebalancing, cash flow planning and risk management in private equity. Prior to that, he worked in the asset management department covering strategic investments of Allianz Group and started as a buy-side analyst at Pioneer Investments.

Christian holds a Dr. rer. pol. in finance specializing on risk-/return characteristics of private equity funds from the Technical University Munich and a MSc from the Ludwig-Maximilian University Munich.
